From International Astronautical FederationUploading IAC AbstractsIt is no longer possible to submit abstract for IAC 2010. Please return in November should you wish to submit for IAC 2011.
Access the "Restricted Area" website at iafastro.net either by following the Restricted Area link on the left or the SIGN IN link above. Uploading papers can be summarised as follows:
If you haven't a log in, you may register for one from our home page.
How to Access the IAF website's "Restricted Area"Type your username and password in the fields shown on the SIGN IN page. If in difficulties, click "Forgot your password?" and you will receive a reply to the email you provided while registering on-line the first time. How to submit an abstractAfter signing in, you will then see a page containing at least two sections:
Fill in the fields with your paper title and copy the summary of your abstract (max 400 words). If you are a student, please tick the checkbox "I am a student". Choose the symposium and session for which you would like to submit your abstract and click "OK". Once you are done with these steps, click on the "OK" button. A pop-up window should open (enable pop-ups in your browser) with your abstract in PDF format. Please check all is correct in your abstract then close the window. N.B.: When using special characters (e,g, "%" or formula please use the toolbox) On the next page you should see a confirmation message: "Abstract successfully uploaded". Your abstract is now on the server. Once you get this message you may log out (or continue if you are adding further authors). How to add a co-authorOnce your paper is on the server, at the left side of the confirmation page, click on "Manage co-authors". Start typing your co-author's name, the full name should automatically appear in the field if this person is already registered. Click on the name of your co-author then click "add". Renew this process if you need to add more co-authors. If you do not find your co-author in the list, you will have to create an account for them. Please click on "Register new" and complete the contact form (please do not forget to add a valid email address). How to update your previously uploaded abstractIf you would like to update the title/content of your abstract, once you are logged into your restricted area, click on "My papers". On the next page you will see your paper listed with its status. Click on your abstract's title. To update your abstract click on "Edit abstract". Glossary
