HE Space rockets to 200 employees

Europe´s leading specialist in personnel services for space will shortly be welcoming its 200th employee, who will work as a planetary scientist on ESA’s BepiColombo project.

This exciting new position is another example of the wide-ranging support and capabilities that HE Space is able to offer to the European space sector. The company is involved in the meteorological satellite programme, MetOp; Europe’s navigation flagship project, Galileo; science missions such as ExoMars; ISS Operations; BepiColombo and the Ariane Launchers; to name just a few.

This focus of providing the best quality of staff to its customers and high-end personnel care has resulted in HE Space winning a five year extension of the frame contract it has with ESA for the supply of manpower services. This was achieved by out-performing all its rivals in open competition.

“This continued success of the company is built on a number of pillars: quality and motivation combined with the consistent professionalism of the staff, and the all-round support which the company offers its customers and employees” states HE Space founder Scott Millican.

The company’s client list reads like a who’s-who of the European space business: The European Space Agency (ESA), Europe’s weather satellite operator, EUMETSAT, and key players in the European space industry, most notably Airbus Defence & Space, DLR GfR, Thales Alenia Space, OHB Systems, Jena-Optronik, SES Astra, TESAT Spacecom and IABG.

“The company has consistently out-performed the competition in quality of service delivered, and with our experts now supporting ESA in 29 domains, HE Space now covers a wide range of specialisations and locations, which is  more than any other space service company in Europe!” states HE Space CEO Claudia Kessler.

In the high-tech world of space the company is especially proud of the diversity it has managed to achieved in its workforce, which is 50% female, and the extensive range of highly qualified staff the company is able to offer, which now covers the entire value chain from design, production, quality assurance and integration, launch and operations.
