Select Sub-Committee on Satellite Commercial Applications

Committee Members  

The Select Sub-Committee on Satellite Commercial Applications (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) is hereby created for the purpose of promoting satellite commercial applications, their utilization and the benefits for related industries and their customers globally.

The Sub-Committee will be responsible for fostering discussions, facilitating the exchange of ideas, and establishing business collaborations in the field of satellite commercial applications. Within the IAF framework, the Sub-Committee will keep close contact with and coordinate with the IAF Committee on Integrated Applications (TC18, session B4), Earth Observations Committee (TC02, session B1.5), Space Communications and Navigation Committee (TC 22) and Space Exploration Committee to call for papers and select paper abstracts for the IAC; organize technical sessions or plenary; and implement other IAC programs during IAC. Initial work shall be to establish a B5.3 section of the IAC program dedicated to research within the purview of the Sub-Committee. Outside the framework the Sub-Committee will organize workshops, symposia, forums and conferences on trends, tendencies and hot topics of management of and methods for satellite commercial applications.
