IAF EXCELLENCE IN INDUSTRY AWARD 2019
The IAF Excellence in Industry Award is intended to distinguish an industry organization, member or non-member of the IAF, worldwide for introducing innovative space technologies to the global marketplace and is recognized throughout space industry for successfully executing a landmark space mission.
The first ever IAF Excellence in Industry Award has been awarded to Blue Origin, IAF Member since 2016, for distinguishing itself as a true leader in developing reusable launch systems and liquid engines having achieved history-making vertical take-off, vertical landing flights with their New Shepard suborbital launch system. As a commercial space company, Blue Origin has collaborated and cooperated with universities and space agencies, conducting microgravity research on several suborbital flights to space, demonstrating excellence in mission planning and execution.
