The EURISY General Assembly

EURISY’s annual General Assembly brought together its members and partners to review ongoing activities, discuss future priorities, and enhance cooperation across the European space community.

The International Astronautical Federation (IAF) participated in the EURISY General Assembly, reaffirming the strong partnership between the two organizations and their shared commitment to strengthening the connection between space and society.

During his address, IAF Executive Director Dr. Christian Feichtinger highlighted EURISY’s important role in demonstrating the societal benefits of space technologies and applications throughout Europe. He paid special tribute to the leadership of Dominique Tilmans, President of EURISY and Special Advisor to the IAF President on Parliamentarian and Ministerial Relations, recognizing her longstanding dedication to fostering dialogue between the space sector and policymakers.

The IAF also welcomed Eric Morel de Westgaver as the incoming President of EURISY and expressed its commitment to continuing the close and productive cooperation between the two organizations.

Christian Feichtinger provided an overview of the IAF’s global activities, including the International Astronautical Congress (IAC), the world’s premier gathering of the space community, and the IAF International Meeting for Ministers and Members of Parliament (MMoP), a unique platform that continues to strengthen engagement between policymakers and space stakeholders worldwide.
