Alessandro IZZO is the Director of the investment team deploying the Bank’s Equity, Growth Capital and Project Finance products in the EU since 2021.

With a team of 120 professionals involved in the high impact high/high risk direct operations of the Bank, Alessandro manages a yearly investment portfolio of around EUR 5.5 bn. He has lead the department to focus on three products lines - equity investments, growth capital as well as project and structured debt – to follow technology deployments from early stage to full commercialisation along the two policy verticals of innovation and climate transition.

Alessandro holds a Bachelor Degree in Law (International Law) from the Università La Sapienza di Roma (1996), Masters of Law (LLM) from University of East Anglia, UK. Specialization in international corporate and development finance in London (LLM - UCL) and a Master of Finance from Solvay Business School. He is admitted to the Italian bar (Avvocato) and to the Roll of Solicitors of England and Wales. He speaks Italian, English, Spanish and French.
