Andrea Bianco

Graduated in Materials Engineer at the Politecnico di Milano in 2000; PhD in Materials Engineer in 2004. Visiting researcher at University of Delaware. From 2005 to 2010, tenure track researcher at the INAF-Istituto di Astrofisica Spaziale e Fisica Cosmica - Milano. Since 2010, full time researcher.He is also adjunct professor of Microstructural Characterization of Materials at the Politecnico di Milano. The research activity focuses on the development of innovative materials and technologies for astronomical optical elements. In particular, holographic optical elements as dispersing elements for astronomical spectroscopy. He’s been involved and led different research projects funded by the regional government and the European Community. He is also active in the technology transfer activities of INAF. He is author of more than 200 publications (refereed and conference proceedings) and more than 10 patents with a h-index of 29.
