Anilkumar (Anil) Dave, currently CEO of Lunar City SrL, started his career as operational manager of IT projects between Italy and the States University and India to then manage R&D projects and Technology Transfer (TT) co-funds from the EU representing public organizations (e.g. Min. Economic Development, Regional Innovation Agency,etc.) and private ones, dedicating themselves to the interaction between research and industry. He worked on the construction of a certified incubator, the start-up and management of a cognitive science laboratory applied to Design, the direction of a cutting-edge pilot project in the banking sector, for the development of a credit planning system textile production, the construction of upskill training courses, the creation of AR/VR systems for cultural heritage. The cornerstone of Anil's professional career has been planning, start-up and direction of the "Innovation and TT" Unit at ASI (Italian Space Agency) which led him to work on the issues of the New Space Economy, in particular startups, risk finance and IPR, before becoming consultant for the President's Open Innovation and coordinator of the ASI OECD team. Inside the Agency Anil has promoted transversal initiatives and partnerships, managing financing for over 20 million euros, on long term agreements, startup projects and institutional programs (e.g. from planetary geology to biosciences, from ESA BIC incubators to the national academic network, from relationships with nonSpace companies to policies European countries etc.). After leaving ASI he took on the temporary role of CEO in a startup accelerator, with the aim of building the team and starting space innovation services and then founded and directed the first consultant company on the Space Economy in Italy which he currently works for regional governments, national stakeholders and private companies in the United States, Italy and Cyprus. The company has expanded its network of collaborators, laying the foundations for new initiatives planned for 2025 in China (Keqiao, Zhejiang province) and in the Uniӧs (Huston, Texas). From 2022 to 2024 he was also a partner of the emerging VC fund "Star TechVenture" and pro-tempore manager of SGR MIP (Milan Investment Partner) while, with a part-time roleӀme, was among the promoters and part of the team that was awarded the ESA (Space Agency) contract Europe) as Technology Broker for Italy with management of a fund of approximately 1.4 million euros to support the connections between Space and non-Space technologies. Anil is also a member of the Global board Entrepreneurship Network Space (Washington DC, USA), Research Fellow at the Institute's Space Lab Italian of Technology and consultant of the Space Economy Observatory of the Polytechnic of Milan.
