Mr.Yang Baohua now acts as the Vice President of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), Vice President of Chinese Society of Astronautics (CSA), Deputy Commander-in-chief of China’ s Lunar Exploration Program (CLEP), Deputy Commander-in-chief of China’s High-resolution Earth Observation System, Commander-in-chief of China-France oceanography satellite Program (CFOSAT), Commander-in-chief of China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellites CBERS-3/4, Member of Leading Group of China’s New-Generation Launch Vehicle, and Leader of Coordination Group of China’s Commercial Satellite Launch Services.

Mr. Yang has been engaged in China’s space activities for nearly 30 years, successively holding important positions respectively in Beijing Institute of Control Engineering, China Academy of Space Technology (CAST), and CASC. He has accumulated rich experiences in space engineering management. With his outstanding leadership and unremitting efforts, China’s many major space programs such as Manned Space Program, Lunar Exploration Program, Beidou Satellite Navigation Program are making good progress and have made important breakthroughs.

Mr. Yang has a deep understanding in the academic research. He has published tsix books, including: Shenzhou-7 Spaceship Project Management, Practical Space Systems Engineering, Practical Space System Project Management, Spacecraft Navigation, Guidance and Control, Spacecraft Dynamics and Control, Chinese Spacecraft

Mr. Yang got his doctor’s degree in space-vehicle design from Harbin Institute of Technology.
