Cedric Balty is Director Innovation and Chief Sustainability Officer at Thales Alenia Space.

His mission is to broadly develop the innovation culture within Thales Alenia Space, to hatch disruptive ideas and favour their development for the benefit of the company. After launching an internal Fablab network, he launched the 1st space industrial incubator and accelerator, with the opening of Thales Alenia Space’ Space Business Catalyst in 2023.

In 2021, he is nominated Chief Sustainability Officer. His mission is to implement an innovative and durable approach to make Thales Alenia Space a key and proactive player of a sustainable space ecosystem.

From 2007 to 2014, he was Vice President Marketing. During this period he developed and structured strategic marketing, business intelligence, innovation and strategic foresight activities.

Starting in 1993, he held several positions at Thales Alenia Space, from manufacturing to tendering and program management.
