Brazilian Space Agency (AEB)Senior Space Project Analyst

Danilo Sakay, born in Brazil 1983, is a Senior Space Project Analyst at Agência Espacial Brasileira (AEB/FUNCATE) along with the Strategic Intelligence and New Business Office for the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB). There he conducts studies and provides strategic counseling in technology and space activities, well as education and community outreach. As of 12/2020, has been commended by the Brazilian Air Force for professional contributions to the aerospace sector.

Is a member of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) on the technical committee of Space Transportation - Launch Vehicles. Represents Brazil within the Technology Working Group (TWG) of the International Space Exploration Coordination Group (ISECG). Has been recently welcomed as a member of the IAF administrative committee on Developing Countries and Emerging Communities (ACDCEC), and selected as a new mentor for the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC-2022) alumni programme. Has a degree in mechanical engineering from the Federal University of Brasilia (UnB-2009) and a Ph.D. by the École Nationale de Mécanique et Aéronautique (ENSMA-2015), from the Institut Supérieur de l'Aéronautique et de l’Espace (ISAE).
