Daria Stepanova, an aerospace engineer, founder, and CEO of AIRMO GmbH, a Munich-based startup dedicated to building a constellation of small satellites for tracking greenhouse gas emissions. With a strong presence in the new space industry for the past 8 years, Daria has been actively pushing the small satellite sector. She has led teams in 12 small satellite missions encompassing Earth Observation, IoT, and Scientific and Technology demonstration missions. Her expertise spans the entire satellite lifecycle, from design and manufacturing to assembly, testing, launch, and operation, enabling her to support diverse applications and teams. As the CEO of AIRMO, Daria brings a unique perspective on the conduct of small satellite projects, the swift implementation of aerospace innovations, and the agility and speed of the sector. Daria actively contributes to the space community as a member of the Space Generation Advisory Council, where she previously led the Small Satellite Project Group with over 300 active members and currently serves in an advisory capacity. She also participates in the Entrepreneurship and Investment Committee of the International Astronautical Federation, further demonstrating her commitment to advancing the field.
