Dario Scoccimarro

European Space Agency (ESA)Senior Solid Propulsion Engineer

Working at the European Space Agency since 2017, Dario Scoccimarro currently holds the position of Senior Solid Propulsion Engineer, contributing to the development of Ariane 6 and VEGA C. He plays the role of System Engineer in P120C team, and after the qualification of the motor he will follow the entry into service on board VEGA C and Ariane 6. In parallel, he will be involved in the development and qualification of the improved version of P120C, called P120C+ (Block 2). Since January 2022 he is also ESA technical focal point for VEGA and VEGA C solid rocket motors (P80, Zefiro 9, Zefiro 23, Zefiro 40).

After the Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Master in Space Transportation Systems, he spent 20 years in the space domain, dealing with propulsion and system activities at launcher level. In the period 2019-2021 he played the role of ESA Technical Officer for Ariane 5 James Webb mission.
