Guy Seguin


Dr. Guy Seguin has 41 years of experience in space development and utilization. He combines a deep knowledge of space systems to skills in development of business case, in management of engineering and research, in projects development and management, in analysis of profitability and in financial arrangements. He has also a wide knowledge of the Canadian and International Space industries, the Canadian Government Departments and the worldwide space agencies and international organizations, developed through his role at the Canadian Space Agency from 1993 to 2013 as director in charge of SAR Missions development and through his active participation in international committees, such as CEOS. Dr. Seguin main expertise is the development of SAR mission, technology, applications, and utilization.

Established in 2015 under the Canada Business Corporations Act, INSARSAT Inc. draws upon Dr. Guy Seguin's extensive experience, primarily in the RADARSAT program, supplemented by the expertise of consultants and partners. The company's mission is to provide investment and strategic development counsel for major space projects, crafting business cases for innovative satellite missions, technologies, and applications via international cooperation with academic research teams. INSARSAT’s primary focus is pioneering SAR technology, missions, and applications to create optimal solutions.
