Jean-Loïc Galle

Jean-Loïc Galle has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of Thales Alenia Space and Senior Vice President of the Thales group, effective on September 1st, 2012.

From 2010 until this latest appointment, Jean-Loïc Galle was Senior Vice President of Air Operations at Thales and a member of the Executive Committee. He headed the Surface Radar unit from 2008 to 2010 and was previously CEO of ThalesRaytheonSystems France, the French subsidiary of the Thales-Raytheon joint venture.

Jean-Loïc Galle joined Thales in 1996 as Vice President and General Manager of the Helicopter Avionics unit, covering all international civil and military helicopter markets. He was then named Vice President and General Manager of the Military Avionics unit.

Jean-Loïc Galle started his career in 1985 as a software engineer with aircraft instrument specialist Sfena. He was then named Vice President, Strategy, and Managing Director of the Navigation Systems unit at Sextant Avionique.

A graduate of the Ecole Centrale de Paris engineering school, Jean-Loïc Galle also holds an MBA from INSEAD and a degree from the CHEAr (Centre des Hautes Etudes de l’Armement) defense college.
