Jean-Mathieu Guimard is the Head of “Prepare the Future” Department at the industrial Directorate of ArianeGroup since 2021, located in Les Mureaux site (FR). The Department is taking care of all preliminary industrialization phases for future launchers and products together with advanced design departments. It covers also the management of R&T for industrial topics to reach the standard digital factory targeted. He joined Arianegroup in 2017 where he was first in charge of Ariane5 RC reduction project and then Industrial architect of Equipped Solid Rocket Booster (ESR) of Ariane6. Before joining ArianeGroup, he spent his first career path at Airbus R&T corporate entity with several positions such as Head of Mechanical Modelling Department and Transverse R&T project manager involving new products for all Airbus Business Units. He is graduated in Mechanical Engineering (Msc – Centrale Marseille) and received his PhD from ENS Paris Saclay in 2009 on advanced damage modelling for composites in high speed loading.
