Kishor ACHARYA

Space Generation Advisory Council in Nepal • National Point of Contact

Kishor Acharya is a National Point of Contact (NPoC) for the Space Generation Advisory Council in Nepal. He is currently exploring and researching different outreach methods to bring space education to students of different levels, and to the general public. In addition, he serves as a President of the Rotary Club of Kathmandu Mid-Town, a partner in service of Rotary International, where he has been sharing his knowledge on space science with younger generations for years.

Kishor completed his schooling from Janajyoti Vidhyamandir and is currently undertaking his Bachelor’s degree on Physics and Mathematics at Tribhuwan University, Kathmandu. He is presently conducting a research on conventional ways of calculating time in Nepal.

He has served as a teacher of Science and Mathematics at various schools for two years and since then he has been involved as a freelance teacher of Physics and Mathematics for high school students. Kishor’s primary interest is on space education, and he believes that younger generations also have a paramount role to play in understanding the numerous mysteries of space.
