Marte Indregard is Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT). KSAT is a Norwegian company providing services for satellite operations and control from our uniquely located global ground network, and provides advanced monitoring services with rapid delivery based on multiple satellite missions. KSAT headquarters is in Tromsø, Norway and the company owns and oper¬ates ground stations at 26 locations world-wide, including Antarctica and the Arctic. KSAT provides oil spill monitoring and vessel detection services globally and has pioneered the industry with pushing the timelines for Near-Real-Time (NRT) delivery of actionable information. Satellite based ship detection is indispensable when combatting for illegal fisheries.

Marte has 26 years of experience in the satellite industry. She has been with KSAT since 2002, where she had an important role building up KSAT’s maritime services. She was heading the Energy, Environment and Security department at KSAT for 10 years. Marte has also worked three years at the EC Joint Research Centre in Italy where she was heavily involved in demonstration how satellite technology could contribute in the combat towards IUU fisheries. She holds a MSc, Physics, Informatics and Mathematics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)
