Nadine DUURSMA

Delft University of TechnologyDouble MSc Candidate, Robotics and Space Engineering

Nadine Duursma is a double MSc student in Robotics and Space Engineering at Delft University of Technology, passionate about the intersection of autonomy, AI, and space. Her work has taken her from developing CubeSats and autonomous satellite tracking systems in the Arctic, to racing 3,000 km across Australia with a solar car, and contributing to NASA’s Lunar Gateway through the Space Studies Program in Houston. She also spent a semester at Princeton University and co-authored Met Mama naar Mars, a Dutch children’s book to share curiosity about space. Currently, Nadine is working with ESA Φ-lab on Tip and Cue, a two-satellite concept for autonomous Earth observation. Her other interests include athletics, climbing, ultra-trails, and analog research. After graduation, she aims to contribute to mission operations or orbital and planetary robotics, especially for missions once thought out of reach.
