Dr. Oleg Ventskovsky, Director of the Brussels-based European Representation of the leading Ukrainian space company – State Enterprise “Yuzhnoye Design Office” since 2001. He was formerly a team member at the Mission of Ukraine to the EU in charge of the Science & Technology and Space cooperation among other things.
Graduated from the Kiev Polytechnic Institute in 1983, he then did a PhD and worked a university teacher at the same educational establishment. He also worked a Vice-President for International Relations at the International Science and Technology University, one of the first private universities in Ukraine, before moving to Brussels.
Oleg Ventskovsky is a member of the International Academy of Astronautics, Fellow of the British Interplanetary Society. He is a member of the IAF Space Transportation Committee and Industry Relations Committee. He is also a Promotion Manager at the Moon Village Association – non-governmental organization based in Vienna aiming at the creation of a permanent global informal forum for stakeholders like governments, industry, academia and the public interested in the development of the Moon Village.
Dr. Ventskovsky is an author or co-author of more than 100 articles and brochures in the fields of Space Technologies Development and Commercialisation, Space Policy, Technology Transfer from Space to Non-Space Areas, Modern Theory of Automatic Control, Mathematical Analysis, European Studies, European and International Affairs, Education etc.
