Rachel Villain has earned a favorable reputation in the space sector internationally, having advised a wide range of public and private sector stakeholders, growing her expertise with Euroconsult for over 30 years. As Principal Advisor, Rachel is responsible for helping to develop the strategic direction for Euroconsult’s space consulting and research activities. She supervises ongoing consulting missions and contributes to the development of methodology and resources to address new topics of interest for the global satellite sector.

Rachel has contributed to over 200 consulting missions supporting government agencies and industry stakeholders in their decision-making related to space policy and strategy for R&D investment, new product development and merger and acquisitions. Her responsibilities include market and competition analysis for space systems and satellite services; long-term forecasting for satellite systems and services; and new technology/service market acceptance for launch vehicles and satellite systems.

As one of the founders of Euroconsult, Rachel proudly participated in designing one of Euroconsult’s flagship research reports, Satellites to be Built & Launched in the Next Ten Years. She has also helped design various thematic reports for the satellite industry. She holds a Masters in Economics from the University of Reims and a Masters in Science and Technology Policy from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM).
