Verónica Peinado is a Telecommunication Engineer for the University of Alcala (Spain). She started her career with an internship in the Centro de Astrobiologia (INTA-CSIC, Spain) in 2007 to participate in REMS instrument onboard the Curiosity rover. Since then she has worked in the software and operation team for different instruments developed by the Centro de Astrobiologia: REMS onboard the Curiosity rover, TWINS onboard the Insight lander and MEDA onboard the Perseverance rover. At present, she leads REMS and MEDA operations, participating in Curiosity and Perseverance operation tactically and strategically.
