Vince has worked with the Canada Centre for Mapping and Earth Observation (CCMEO), Natural Resources Canada, for over twenty years. He manages the Emergency Geomatics Service that produces near real-time derived satellite data products for first responders and decision makers. He has contributed to many International Disaster Charter events that have taken place in Canada and around the world for floods, earthquakes, volcanoes as well as damage assessments. He is currently involved with cross-border pilot projects facilitated by CEOS and the OGC that address all phases of disaster management and end-to-end information needs. Vince graduated from the Department of Geography at the Université de Montréal in 1997 with a specialization in glacial geomorphology and remote sensing. He has applied his extensive experience related to earth sciences and geospatial analysis to a wide range of applications, from precision agriculture, wildfire burn area mapping, natural oil seep detection and geo-hazard monitoring to emergency geomatics.
