Yoav Landsman

Yoav Landsman is a visionary space entrepreneur, and a seasoned space engineer with 20 years of hands-on experience in the Israeli space industry. He holds a B.Sc. in aerospace engineering and an M.Sc. in planetary sciences from the Technion and from Tel-Aviv University, respectively. His last engineering full-time job was at SpaceIL, where he was the senior systems engineer and the deputy mission director of the Beresheet lunar lander, the first privately funded lunar landing mission. Yoav is also passionate about public outreach and education. He became a sought-after lecturer and interviewee for science, technology, spaceflights, science fiction, and everything that involves space. Yoav is an alumnus of the International Space University (ISU) Space Studies Program, where he studied in the business and management department. Yoav is also a Karman Fellow, selected for his outstanding achievements in space, and is considered a leader who is shaping the future of space. Since the end of the Beresheet mission in 2019, Yoav decided to contribute to the newly emerging Moon programs. He consults several lunar startups, and has recently moved to Luxembourg and founded Moonscape, a lunar remote-sensing startup company.
