Charting the Path Forward: from Delivering Local Impact to Building the Broader Economic Case for Climate Action
Day: Wednesday 3 June
Time: 16:00 - 16:45
This session builds on the legacy of GLOC23, which recommended a focus on collaborative efforts, the need to go beyond a “space communications bubble” and to fill a critical gap in the “last mile” of space-based climate action. Three years later, GLOC 2026 is an opportunity to assess progress in a challenging geopolitical context, reconfirming or putting into question previous choices, and setting new priorities. Policy experts, space agency representatives, and local stakeholders will discuss what concrete actions are needed to better deliver impact at the local level and how to leverage space data to build a new economic narrative for climate action.
