This event kicks off a three-year cooperation between the Workforce Development and Young Professional Programme Committee and the Subcommittee on Global Earth Observation System of Systems. Throughout this series of events we will be looking at the role of citizen science and crowd sourcing in earth observation. This event in the Global Networking Forum in Adelaide will focus on the current status of citizen science in earth observation. To that end we will have a panel discussion that looks at the crowd sourcing methodology, experience from past and present projects, and how to best involve people from around the globe in earth observation.
