Council of European Aerospace Societies (CEAS)

CEAS’ mission is to add value to the wide range of services provided by its constituent Member Societies at a European level, facilitating greater dialogue between them and European institutions, governments, the aerospace and defence industries, and academia. Following its establishment as a legal entity conferred under Belgium Law, the council began its operations on January 1st, 2007. CEAS presently comprises eleven Trustee Member Societies with a combined total of around 35.000 individual members: 3AF (France), AAAR (Romania), AIAE (Spain), AIDAA (Italy), CzAeS (Czech Republic), DGLR (Germany), FTF (Sweden), NVvL (Netherlands), PSAA (Poland), RAeS (United Kingdom), SVFW (Switzerland), and five Corporate Members: EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency), ESA (European Space Agency), EUROAVIA (European Association of Aerospace Students), EUROCONTROL and VKI (von Kármán Institute for Fluid Dynamics).

CEAS publishes the quarterly AEROSPACE EUROPE Bulletin which aims to provide the European aerospace community with high-standard information concerning current activities and preparation for the future. Furthermore, The CEAS Aeronautical Journal (https://www.springer.com/journal/13272) and the CEAS Space Journal (https://link.springer.com/journal/12567) were created under the umbrella of CEAS to provide an appropriate platform for excellent scientific publications submitted by scientists and engineers. The German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the European Space Agency (ESA) support the Journals.
