OHB Italia S.p.A. is part of the European Space and Technology Group OHB SE (listed in the Frankfurt Stock Exchange), one of the three top space companies in Europe with more than 3.000 employees worldwide and total revenues for EUR 1.030 Mio. in 2024.

OHB Italia S.p.A. was established in 1981, nowadays in Italy it is one of the two major Satellite System Integrators with EUR 408 Mio. backlog and EUR 142 Mio. revenues in 2024.

Headquartered in Milan, the company also operates in Rome and Benevento. The Mi-lan facilities house specialized laboratories (including Shaker, Climate Chamber and Thermal Vacuum Chamber) and a large ISO7 Clean Room, spanning over 850 square meters, suitable for large satellites integration and allowing operations of 20 persons simultaneously. The company employs over 300 skilled professionals, about 85% hold-ing degrees in aerospace engineering, mathematics, physics, electronic engineering, and information technology.

With over than 60 among Satellites, Payloads and Instruments successfully flown or currently operative in-orbit, OHB Italia S.p.A. is currently Prime Contractor for im-portant missions of the Italian Space Agency (ASI) and the European Space Agency (ESA), which are the main customers along with Research Institutes, Universities and all the industrial key players in the space market, with special attention to export do-main.
