Oman National Space Center, Advanced Technology and AI

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, represented by the National Space Center, Advanced Technology, and AI, serves as the key policy maker in Oman. Royal Decree No: 90/2020, which established the ministry, outlines its roles in the space sector as follows:1. Propose policies and strategic plans related to technology and space sciences in a way that contributes to achieving the goals of the Oman development plans. 2. Establish the national space program in the short, medium and long term, and follow-up on its implementation. 3. Support programs to develop uses and applications of space science and technology. 4. Work towards the establishment of an infrastructure for the development and manufacturing of space systems and satellites.
