Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA) was founded on the belief that daily space travel will revolutionize Space Services and the way we can improve life on earth. RFA offers a fast, affordable and flexible access to space, to enable data-based services from space infrastructure. The RFA space deployment service enables full operationality of small satellite constellations within hours from launch.

Since foundation in August 2018, RFA is constantly growing. To more than 80 employees as of September 2020. The international agglomeration of space enthusiasts is recruited from all over the world. Each of them being a specialist in his field, with five to ten years’ experience in launchers, either from the NewSpace environment flight-qualifying launchers, or from the established launcher industry. A true combination from the best of both worlds.

RFA pursues a systematically cost-driven approach since day one, with the vision to industrialize rockets like cars. Being located in Southern Germany, RFA benefits from the engineering, manufacturing and automatization hub in automotive industry.

All combined, enables RFA’s end-to-end space deployment services at an affordable price. The scalability of the launch system combined with the re-ignitable orbital stage enables flexibility on-orbit. Delivery of a full small satellite constellation including phasing of satellites, RAAN changes and dedicated delivery into different altitudes are some of the unique features. All focused on the fastest operationalization possible in order to empower rapid revenue generation for customers.
