RSC Energia is the leading rocket and space company, premier supplier of human space systems and services in Russia. The company designed and launched the first satellite, Sputnik, the first crewed spacecraft, Vostok, which carried Yuri Gagarin. It also developed the first space stations, Salyut and Mir. Additionally to having been the prime contractor in the Energia-Buran program and the Sea Launch project, RSC Energia is a major partner in the ISS program. Currently, RSC Energia’s efforts are focused on operation and utilization of the ISS Russian Segment.
