A new IAF GNF Space Conversations Series Session is coming!

Moon Village Association - Latest Developments

A new IAF GNF Space Conversations Series Session will take place next 10th March 2021 at 14:00 CET, this time the Moon Village Association (MVA) representatives will present the status of the national/regional networks and will explain how to get involved in the MVA activities. A short Q&A session is also planned!

The panel discussion will present some of the main Moon Village Association developments planned in 2021 such as:

  • Progress on Moon Village Architecture studies, including a design reference case study focusing on lunar activities in 2045
  • Global Expert Group on Sustainable Lunar Activities (GEGSLA). The current lack of coordination mechanisms for lunar activities presents a serious challenge to future missions and could lead to dangerous conflicts, especially in light of the increased global interest in specific areas like the lunar south pole. In view of the above, MVA proposed the creation of a neutral forum for multi-stakeholders discussions on lunar exploration and utilization: the Global Expert Group on Sustainable Lunar Activities (GEGSLA). GEGSLA is hosted by MVA, the kick-off took place on February 25, its composition and activities plan will be presented.
  • Global Network. MVA is present in all the World since one of the important stakeholder of the Moon Village is the public.
