International Astronautical Congress 2012

The 63rd International Astronautical Congress, themed “Space science and technology for the needs of all”, took place in Naples, Italy between 1 -5 October 2012. 3300 attendees – 500 more than in the 2012 Congress, 160 technical sessions, 8 plenary events, 3 highlight lectures and 3 late breaking News, appearances by second man on the Moon Buzz Aldrin and first Chinese woman in space Liu Yang, and plenty of networking and social events, were amidst the highlights that defined the Congress.
