Crafted out of Israel’s participation in the AX-1 mission, Rakia is committed to expanding access to space by engaging diverse participants and fostering partnerships across industry, academia, the general public and government.

Through its programs, Rakia creates opportunities for scientific experimentation aboard the International Space Station, and future platforms in space, advancing innovation in science and technology while sparking curiosity and creativity. As the founding force behind the Israel Space Forum, Rakia plays a central role in shaping Israel’s space ecosystem—enabling networking, knowledge exchange, and business development both nationally and globally. Recognizing that a sustainable space ecosystem requires deep academic engagement, Rakia collaborates with Israel’s leading universities to open space-related opportunities to students across all disciplines. Through Space Campus IL, a national student community, Rakia empowers the next generation of space professionals with exposure to the global space sector, hands-on projects, and meaningful connections to industry and research.

In parallel, Rakia champions Arts in Space, integrating artistic expression into its missions to foster emotional resonance, cultural dialogue, and new ways of connecting people to space and the humanities.
