Message from Prof Bernard Foing

"I am very honoured to receive the IAF Frank Malina 2025 award, named after the aeronautical engineer, pioneer in rocketry in Caltech, founder and 2nd director of JPL, then in Paris head of research division at UNESCO, kinetic painter, and founder of Leonardo/ISAST. Dr Frank Malina has been an inspiration to me and many for his space career, and for bridging Space, Arts, Science and Technology. I even attended a Leonardo workshop in his special home. So I am also emotionally touched for receiving the IAF Frank Malina 2025 prize, in particular attributed for my work on education and outreach I performed in complement to my research and management tasks at ESA and after I left ESA!
