The National Space Agency of Singapore (NSAS) was established on 1 April 2026 under the Ministry of Trade and Industry to champion Singapore's national space ambitions and be a credible contributor to the global space ecosystem. The agency's mandate encompasses five key functions: (i) developing and operating Singapore's national space capabilities, (ii) advancing space technologies through research and development, (iii) developing the local space industry in Singapore, (iii) advancing international partnerships with like-minded nations, and (v) enacting pro-innovation national space legislation that ensures space safety and sustainability while supporting business growth.
