We present a payload architecture built around a centralized compute platform. From this platform, we grow out a reconfigurable payload category: one that supports communications and sensing workloads concurrently or independently on a single satellite. The architecture is industrialized — designed and manufactured under the same industrial cadence, with iteration loops measured in days. We discuss what software-defined payloads make possible for operators and integrators building broadband, direct-to-cell, and on-orbit compute infrastructure, and present a reference form factor.
