Symposium: A2. IAF MICROGRAVITY SCIENCES AND PROCESSES SYMPOSIUM

Gas absorption is a fundamental transport process with applications extending beyond thermal systems to environmental control, chemical engineering, and space technology, particularly in life support systems for closed habitats. Efficient control of heat and mass transfer at gas–liquid interfaces is therefore essential for future space missions. In reduced-gravity environments buoyancy-driven convection is strongly suppressed, fundamentally altering heat and mass transfer mechanisms at gas–liquid interfaces.
