Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Aviation (ILOT) focuses on combining research with needs of industry for the benefit of the global market. ILOT has experience in various programmes of the European Space Agency, European Commission and European Defence Agency.

The strategy of development focuses on Green Propulsion for spacecraft and launch vehicles. ILOT works in niches including Space Debris Mitigation and in-orbit servicing. Filling European gaps in terms of ITAR-free green propulsion, propellants, valves etc. is of special interest. Another goal is to guarantee Polish activity in Space Transportation via work on throttleability and lander technology. ILOT's ILR-33 AMBER rocket is the workhorse in-flight suborbital test platform (first in the world vehicle to demonstrate using HTP concentration above 98% in flight). Moreover, ILOT is involved in development of Composite and Additive technologies, Remote Sensing solutions, Avionics, Guidance, Navigation and Control and in Environmental Testing.
