Amal Albinali is Chief of Strategic Planning and Projects Management at the Bahrain Space Agency (BSA), representing the Agency in high-level meetings and international engagements. She serves as the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) Vice President for Next Generation Activities (2024–2027) and was selected as a 2026 Karman Fellow, joining a distinguished global network of space leaders. Amal is also an analog astronaut, having completed an analog space mission as Operations Officer and Public Affairs Officer.

She was awarded the Medal of National Service by His Majesty the King of Bahrain in recognition of the BSA team’s contributions to Bahraini accomplishments. She chaired the Preparatory Committee for the 6th International Space Forum at Ministerial Level, hosted by Bahrain under the auspices of the IAF, the Italian Space Agency (ASI), and BSA. She also organized the first two Space Forums held during the Bahrain International Airshow.

Amal holds an MBA from the University of Strathclyde and a Bachelor’s degree with Excellence in Chemistry, with a minor in Computer Science, from the University of Bahrain, where she received the Jaber Bin Hayan Prize for academic excellence and student activities.

Prior to joining BSA, she held leadership roles at the Civil Service Bureau and Ministry of Industry and Commerce, leading projects and representing Bahrain in Gulf-level committees.

She has spoken at various forums and conferences, including as a panelist at the IAF Spring Meetings IDEA Day, and has published four research papers in strategy, project management, and space education.
