Noelia Sánchez-Ortiz. A PhD in Aerospace Engineering and an international authority on space surveillance and orbital sustainability, she has spent over 25 years designing and leading breakthrough solutions to safeguard space as a critical infrastructure.

She was the co-founder and Director of Space Safety at DEIMOS Space, where she contributed to one of Europe’s most influential Space Situational Awareness (SSA) teams. Today, as Co-Founder and CEO of Arribes, she transforms space-based technologies into deeptech products that address critical challenges both on Earth and in orbit.

Noelia has led over 70 international projects for the European Space Agency (ESA), the European Commission, and industry clients—reshaping how we manage space traffic, collision risk, and orbital debris. She is a trusted advisor on space sustainability policies and an expert evaluator for the European Commission.

Her impact is recognized globally: she is academician in the International Academy of Astronautics, serves on high-level committees for Space Traffic Management, and has an asteroid (257336 NoeliaSanchez) named after her in recognition of her contributions. A lecturer at Carlos III University in Madrid and a frequent speaker at business schools and innovation forums, Noelia bridges strategic thinking, technological insight, and ecosystem leadership. Her mission: to turn space into a driver of sustainable transformation, using the final frontier as a testing ground for life-critical solutions on Earth.
