Miles Ballestar is the Co-Founder, Owner, and Chief Innovation of iONTEK Power Solutions Corporation, a Philippine-based manufacturer and authorized distributor of power protection products since 2007, and an authorized speaker of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (ICCPI) where she serves as Vice President for Luzon and Member of the Board of Directors. Select USA Women in Tech cohort 2026.

iONTEK operates as the exclusive Philippine distribution partner for Sistema Italia — a portfolio of leading European-Italian power protection brands covering the complete range of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, automatic voltage regulators (AVR), and energy management infrastructure.

This partnership, spanning over 14 years since 2012, integrates Italian engineering excellence with Philippine manufacturing capability. iONTEK is a pioneer in electronic-type buck-boost AVR technology, manufacturing and assembling voltage regulators from 1KVA to 500KVA at its Marikina City facility. Specific brand identities within the Sistema Italia portfolio are proprietary intellectual assets disclosed upon formal business engagement. Under Ms. Ballestar’s leadership, iONTEK has evolved from a power hardware manufacturer into an integrated energy resilience and ESG intelligence enterprise.

The company developed Project GridShield™ an ESA GDA High Impact Story winner— Grid Resilience Management, a satellite-fused monitoring platform that connects real-time Philippine grid telemetry to the European Space Agency’s Copernicus ecosystem. GridShield provides carbon credit potential assessment, ESG disclosure automation, and RA 11285 Energy Efficiency Act compliance roadmaps for hospitals, government facilities, PAGASA radar installations, and commercial enterprises across the provinces. Ms. Ballestar holds Copernicus Ambassador for Philippines Energy business sectir utilizing Earth Observation data as hardware equipment manufacturing of power solutions equipment and was declared winner of the ESA GDA (Global Development Assistance) Impact Story in March 2026, selected from thousands of global submissions for demonstrating the practical development impact of European Earth observation data.

Her intellectual property portfolio includes an IPOPHL Copyright Certificate (2026-00534-N) for the Ballestar Intelligence Report Format Carbon Asset — ESG Disclosure Template — BIR Carbon Credit Potential Calculator Algorithm, classified as original computer program source code (AI-Generated: No); and a WIPO-published trademark (PH4202500528353) for GRIDSHIELD covering Nice Classes 42 and 9 — scientific and technological services, satellite data processing, surge protection, and voltage regulation.

Within ICCPI, Ms. Ballestar received the Energy & Sustainability Innovation Award in November 2025 at the 5th ICCPI Leadership Awards.

Ms. Ballestar completed the European Commission’s INNOVATE WITH EU SPACE DATA Mentoring Programme and holds a Master in International Business Law from the Asian Institute of Management as an ESMEL-Foundation for Liberty and Prosperity Scholar. She serves as President of the FLP Scholars Society (2026-2028), advancing climate policy literacy among emerging professionals.

As Vice President for Luzon of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines, she facilitates EU-ASEAN technology transfer. iONTEK serves as authorized partner for Sistema Italia - Italian power electronics—two decades of engineering solutions for voltage regulation, power conditioning, and grid stability that evolved into GridShield’s “From Space to Socket” verification methodology for voltage dips, sags, swells, and intermittent power quality events.

She pioneers Carbon Calculator integration with national tax compliance frameworks, advocating “Carbon is the New Gold”—establishing carbon emission avoidance as blockchain-verified sovereign assets for climate-vulnerable nations. Her research spans CNN-LSTM typhoon prediction, semantic segmentation flood mapping, radar vegetation indices, and greenwashing detection.

iONTEK’s next-generation roadmap extends toward quantum computing applications through R&D collaboration with Politecnico di Torino.
