Imran Mukhtarov is a distinguished professional with extensive international experience, particularly recognized for his expertise in strategic leadership, international project management, facilitation, and diplomacy within educational and governmental sectors.

Currently serving as the Head of SPACE Academy at the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azercosmos) since March 2021, Imran plays a pivotal role in managing space education and outreach programs aligned with Azerbaijan’s strategic objectives for the development of a robust space ecosystem. His leadership was instrumental in coordinating Azerbaijan’s participation in the prestigious 74th International Astronautical Congress (IAC), overseeing engagement strategies for students, young professionals, scientists, and managing the International Astronauts Program and Public Day events.

Previously, Imran held key roles such as International Officer at the Azerbaijan Badminton Federation, successfully orchestrating the Badminton Europe Congress in Baku in 2023. He also significantly contributed to Baku International Sea Trade Port as a Senior Officer for International Affairs and Cooperation, focusing on developing international partnerships and managing high-level events.

Internationally acclaimed for his strategic insights, Imran served as an Advisor to the President at Sorbonne Business School, University of Paris Pantheon Sorbonne. There, he expertly managed business development initiatives targeting post-Soviet states and the Middle East, enhancing corporate networks and continuing education programs. Additionally, as an Advisor to the Chancellor of Paris Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, Imran effectively led initiatives strengthening educational and diplomatic relations between the University and key governmental institutions across post-Soviet states and Turkiye.

His career is distinguished by exceptional capabilities in international facilitation, moderation, and capacity-building. Imran is a SALTO-certified international facilitation specialist, recognized for delivering impactful training and workshops in communication, intercultural learning, public speaking, and leadership across Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia. His facilitation skills have benefited organizations like the British Council, NATO, European Union Commission, World Scout Organization, and various governmental institutions.

Imran holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Law and has pursued advanced training in diverse international forums, including the NATO International School of Azerbaijan and Paris Sorbonne University training programs focused on innovative solutions and educational evaluation tools.

Fluent in Azerbaijani, English, Russian, French, Turkish, and proficient in Spanish, Imran Mukhtarov is a global communicator and strategic thinker dedicated to fostering international collaboration and educational excellence.
