Boryung • Head of New Portfolio Investment (NPI) Group

Jack (Dongjoo) Lim serves as the Head of the New Portfolio Investment Group (NPIG) at Boryung. NPIG plays a pivotal role in managing Boryung's investments across emerging sectors, with a notable focus on space-related ventures. Additionally, Jack serves as an advisor on multiple space committees under the Ministry of Science in South Korea. He is recognized as a prominent figure shaping South Korea's space strategy and has been invited to participate in prestigious space conferences, including the US-KOR Space Health Symposium and the National Space Policy Agency.

In alignment with Boryung's overarching vision of becoming a cornerstone in human health, Jack has spearheaded investment strategies geared toward space healthcare, attracting significant attention from both the public and private sectors in the United States and South Korea. Under Jack's guidance, NPIG has overseen and led strategic investments, notably serving as the Series C round lead investor in Axiom Space. Building on this successful partnership, he initiated discussions for a Joint Venture with Axiom Space, further solidifying Boryung's presence in the space industry.

Additionally, Jack has led the successful launch of Boryung's inaugural space healthcare startup challenge, known as the "Care In Space Challenge" last year. This event, featuring a rigorous evaluation process with experts from esteemed institutions such as NASA, TRISH, Harvard, and more, resulted in the selection and investment in six promising companies. Expanding on his initiatives, Jack has extended Boryung's involvement in the space sector through "Humans In Space," a collaborative effort co-hosted by Axiom Space and the Aurelia Institute, which encompasses a wide range of space-related topics beyond launch technologies.

Jack holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Boryung, he gained valuable experience as a consultant at AT Kearney.
