Dr. P. Veeramuthuvel, Project Director for Chandrayaan-3 at U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), ISRO, led the successful soft landing of Chandrayaan-3's Lander & Rover near the moon's south pole, marking India's historic achievement as the fourth country to accomplish this feat and the first in this region. He worked in ISRO previously as Associate Project Director for Chandrayaan-2 mission, Project Director for the first three ISRO Nano Satellite (INS-1A, INS-1B and INS-1C) missions, Project Manager/Deputy Project Director (Systems) for Indian Mini Satellite (IMS-1), Youthsat, Megha-Tropqiues (ISRO-CNES collaborative mission), SARAL (ISRO-CNES collaborative mission) and Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), Deputy Director in the Space Infrastructure Programme Office (SIPO) at ISRO Head Quarters. Acquired experience working with NASA, CNES and ESA technical teams during the realization of the above said missions. He also led the study team for Mars Landing Mission (MLM) and Chandrayaan-4 (Lunar Sample Return Mission) Mission. He is also working as a Group Director for the Spacecraft Systems Engineering Group.
