Zsófia BIRÓ

Dr. Zsófia Biró is a space policy expert and legal scholar with a strong interdisciplinary background in law, economics, and innovation. She holds a PhD in Law from the University of Pécs, an LL.M. in Energy Law, and an MSc in Finance, complemented by qualifications in energy market management and space policy. She is currently the innovation lead and a research fellow at the University of Pécs, Faculty of Law, where her work focuses on the intersections of space law, energy law, and technology regulation, with a hint of strategic thinking. She has contributed to national and international projects, and in 2026 she is going to be a Fulbright Visiting Scholar in the United States. Her academic affiliations include the Hungarian Astronautical Society, the SGAC as NPoC and member of the Space Law and Policy, and Commercial Space Project Groups, and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences as a member of the public body.
