UK Space AgencyHead of Space Technology

Tony is the Head of Space Technology for the UK Space Agency and is responsible for setting the direction of, and overseeing, UKSA support for space technology in the UK. He is also the Agency lead liaison for a number of UK and overseas links, including standards and some dual-use activity, and supports a number of national and international Space steering boards.

His work also sees him as Chief Inspector for ESA Space Manufacturers and UK delegate for boards such as ESA’s Industrial Policy Committee and OECD’s Space Forum. In leading on technology strategy, industrial development, and commercial enablement across national and European space programmes he has extensive experience working with executive level governance, industrial policy, and space programme oversight.

Prior to joining the UK Space Agency, Tony worked in education as a successful, qualified Headteacher of a secondary school having been a long-term outstanding practitioner leading the Science subjects, specialising in Physics and Astronomy. He continues to work in education as a vice-chair of governors and is also a specialist consultant to help inspire school-age students.
