Yusuf Bora KARTAL

ASELSAN • Executive Vice President Communicaiton and Information Technologies

Dr. Yusuf Bora KARTAL was born in Ankara in 1983. He completed his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Middle East Technical University in 2005, 2007, and 2014, respectively.

He began his professional career in 2004 as a Junior Engineer at ASELSAN. Between 2004 and 2009, he worked as an Embedded Software Design Engineer. In 2009, Dr. KARTAL joined the Radar Systems Engineering team and served as Lead Engineer and Team Leader before being appointed Director of the Surveillance Radar Systems Engineering Department of the Radar and Electronic Warfare Systems Sector Presidency, which was established in 2014 following an organizational change.

After participating in numerous radar system designs as Director of Surveillance Radar Systems Engineering, he was appointed Director of Radar Programs in the Radar and Electronic Warfare Systems Sector in 2022.

By decision of the ASELSAN Board of Directors, he was appointed Executive Vice President responsible for the Communications and Information Technologies Sector on January 3, 2025. Dr. Yusuf Bora KARTAL, who is fluent in English, is married and has two children.
