Dr. Serena Pezzilli holds a PhD and a Medical Specialization in Human and Medical genetics. After over 10 years of research experience in molecular biology and human genetics, in 2022 she has joined the Italian Space Agency, where she works as a researcher for the Orbital and Suborbital Human Spaceflight activities. In these two years, she has been actively involved in the commercial mission Axiom 3. In particular, she was Co-I of two studies: i) Beta-Amyloid Aggregation, an in-orbit study conducted by Col.
