Josefina Pérès

National Commission for Space Activities (CONAE) • Executive and Technical Director

Josefina Perès is an Electronics Engineer graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and holds a Research Master's degree from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) in Toulouse, France.

She joined the Argentine Space Agency (CONAE) in 2009 and, since 2021, had served as Satellite Projects Manager. With more than 15 years of experience at CONAE, she has built an extensive career in the development and management of satellite projects, contributing to several of Argentina's major space initiatives.

During the SAOCOM mission, she served as SAR Instrument Engineering Manager, Alternate Project Manager, and subsequently as Project Manager for SAOCOM 1B. Throughout her career, she has played a key role in the design, coordination, and implementation of complex space systems and satellite missions.

In addition to her work at CONAE, she is a lecturer in the Space Systems course, part of the Specialization Program in Space Industry and Systems (EISA) at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Buenos Aires. She has also been actively involved in fostering collaboration among CONAE's technical areas and strengthening partnerships with institutions, companies, and international stakeholders.

As Executive and Technical Director, she leads the agency's technical and executive activities, overseeing CONAE's projects and programs, including the SABIA-Mar Mission, which is primarily dedicated to the study and monitoring of the oceans and coastal environments.
